My Reaction to the Obama Inauguration

I can't help but yet again be inspired by the dramatic moment that was January 20th, 2009. In the moment I was filled with optimistic anticipation as I watched our 44th President be sworn in.

Let us remember that as amazing and inspirational as Barack Obama is, he is only a man - and he needs our help.

Now is the time to not seek for what we want and expect it to show up, now is the time to give to all our brothers and sisters what we desire for ourselves and what we want will show up in tremendous abundance. Now is the time to set free our past prejudices and realize that what we hate about others is really a reflection of what we hate about ourselves. Barack Obama has opened the door way, but Barack Obama cannot do this alone.

If we open up to the Spirit of Giving we will let go our thought patterns of lack and start allowing the flow of growth back into our lives, this act alone can end our current financial challenge. We must shed the false belief that there is lack in our life and as a result we must protect the little that we have and embrace a new belief that what we want is already here and the best way to get it is to give what we want to someone else with a pure heart.

Barack Obama is a spark and will make a great President, but he is not the President of your United State. Barack Obama might be a great man, but he is not powerful enough to make the best choices in your life everyday. Barack Obama is an inspiring man, but his words would be powerless without your action.

We have to become the President of our own lives. We must seek our own inner peace, inner freedom and inner fearlessness. Barack Obama cannot give this to you - he can help to show you the way, but you and only you can make this choice and this pledge to yourself.

So today instead of asking "What's in it for me?" begin to ask "How can I serve and give what I desire for myself to another"? A life of service and giving to others what we want for ourselves puts us in control of our own lives and is the only path that we can walk to manifest the change that we all so desperately desire.

All my love to you,

Mastin
