My Reaction to the Obama Inauguration

I can't help but yet again be inspired by the dramatic moment that was January 20th, 2009. In the moment I was filled with optimistic anticipation as I watched our 44th President be sworn in.

Let us remember that as amazing and inspirational as Barack Obama is, he is only a man - and he needs our help.

Now is the time to not seek for what we want and expect it to show up, now is the time to give to all our brothers and sisters what we desire for ourselves and what we want will show up in tremendous abundance. Now is the time to set free our past prejudices and realize that what we hate about others is really a reflection of what we hate about ourselves. Barack Obama has opened the door way, but Barack Obama cannot do this alone.

If we open up to the Spirit of Giving we will let go our thought patterns of lack and start allowing the flow of growth back into our lives, this act alone can end our current financial challenge. We must shed the false belief that there is lack in our life and as a result we must protect the little that we have and embrace a new belief that what we want is already here and the best way to get it is to give what we want to someone else with a pure heart.

Barack Obama is a spark and will make a great President, but he is not the President of your United State. Barack Obama might be a great man, but he is not powerful enough to make the best choices in your life everyday. Barack Obama is an inspiring man, but his words would be powerless without your action.

We have to become the President of our own lives. We must seek our own inner peace, inner freedom and inner fearlessness. Barack Obama cannot give this to you - he can help to show you the way, but you and only you can make this choice and this pledge to yourself.

So today instead of asking "What's in it for me?" begin to ask "How can I serve and give what I desire for myself to another"? A life of service and giving to others what we want for ourselves puts us in control of our own lives and is the only path that we can walk to manifest the change that we all so desperately desire.

All my love to you,

Mastin

My New Year's Resolution - Trust

"Courage is the power to let go of the familiar."
- Raymond Lindquist, Lindquist
was the Pastor at Hollywood Presbyterian Church

My New Year's Resolution

I thought long and hard about what I wanted my New Year's Resolution to be. I take my NYR's very seriously and always try my best to actually manifest them in my life.

I thought about setting goals for making a certain amount of money, or to finally meet "the one", or for Love Yourself and The Daily Love to reach a certain amount of success, or for any number of "dreams" I have to come true. And then I reflected on all my past NYR's and while some came true, some didn't. I'm actually glad that some of them didn't because in hind sight some of my "wishes" for myself, though at the time seemed like exactly what I wanted, if they had actually come true it would have actually delayed or prevented my best life from manifesting.

Then I thought, wow, even with Intention, and Positive Thinking maybe the external desires I'm visualizing and Intending might not be what's best for me when I look back 5 years from now. So this New Years my NYR is to try to simply trust.

It's going to be an interesting experiment because everything I've laid out below I've resisted for so long because I've always wanted to control my environment. I'm going to do my best with these, Heaven knows I'm not perfect!

Well here goes nothing!

I'm going to trust that focusing on the internal vibration of feeling good instead of any external things, people or situations will bring what's truly best for me.
I'm going to trust that even if I think that many things seem to be going wrong, that maybe for the first time I'm actually feeling what it feels like for things to go "right".
I'm going to trust that the ideas I have are great, the creative impulse I feel should be expressed and that no matter what - I will always be taken care of while I walk on the path of gratitude, forgiveness and love.
I'm going to trust that as long as I am walking a path in service that the right people, places and circumstances will always show up right on time.
I'm going to trust that some of the best things in life don't show up with a grand announcement and flashy introduction but instead in humble packages.
I'm going to trust and be receptive to every situation or person that the Universe places in front of me.
I'm going to trust the Love that is trying to find me and embrace it no matter how scary it might seem.
I'm going to trust that my Creator and Source has my best interests at heart and I'm going to try my hardest to allow It's will to be done, not mine. My mind is limited in comparison to the Source, so I'm going to get out of Her way and let all things be done though me instead of by me.
I'm going to trust to show up every day not trying to accomplish everything, but just to do the best I can each day.
I'm going to trust that taking care of and truly loving myself will be the gateway to creating fulfilling relationships and life circumstances.
I'm going to trust that healing myself will be the best way for me to heal the world.
I'm going to trust that as long as I keep focused on feeling good and take actions that help the greater good I will always thrive regardless of what the stock market, financial markets or consumer confidence is doing.
I'm going to trust that my inner guidance is the only source of truth I will ever know and that what's happening to anyone else has nothing to do with the world I am consciously creating around me.

And finally, I'm going to trust the things that bother me most for they are the true portals of discovery and the key to unlocking why I can't just let things be.

Happy New Year!

Season's Greetings

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! It is my hope that everyone is happy, healthy and holy today. I hope you are celebrating with those that you truly love (and can hopefully tolerate) and are really being thankful to be one step closer to giving the one thing that is most important of all: Love.

It is my hope that you give to yourself more than you give to others so that when others need you, you have more than enough to give. It is my hope that when you get angry with someone that you stop and realize that it has nothing to do with them, it's all inside you. It is my hope that you can take a step back and see how perfect life truly is and that if you are experiencing any so-called "hard times" that you can see your circumstance as a wonderful gift from the Universe to rise to the challenge.

It is my hope that no matter where you are that you find a piece of true happiness today and hold on to it the other 364 days of the year. It is my hope today that all of you know that when there is darkness around you it's up to YOU to shine and be the light - no one else is going to do it. I'm so very grateful for the opportunity to be able to have a dialogue with all my Daily Lovers; you're attention is the greatest gift of all! Season's greetings and bless you!

Love,

My Humble Epistle

I found this in a box... I wrote this in 2006, kind of strange how I also self-prophesized my reality that is NOW, almost 2 years earlier...

My Humble Epistle
By Mastin Kipp
June 21st, 2006

I consider it to be a miracle that no matter where I go or who I encounter, that I do not spontaneously burst into non-existence nor do I lose any of my skill, wit, good looks, abilities or agility when I am thrown into a new and strange land.I find it humbling that I can start something, and if I walk away from it, trust and know that it will not disintegrate or stop just because there is a lack of my physical presence.

This goes for any relationship I have developed, the company I started, my writing, the bodywork I've done to lose weight, or any creative or life endeavor I might choose to embark upon. I can do whatever I want, and the fear of losing something by means of abandonment is merely and mostly an illusion.

My whole life I have thought that if I stop paying attention, if I take my eye off of something that it will disappear. But indeed it does not. It grows stronger; I have more appreciation for the people, events and objects that fill my life. I desire to seek out new knowledge with the understanding that doing so will not undo all of the work and learning I have done so far.

All of this is a wonderful leap of faith that I can do that which makes me happy free from the fear of losing that which I have already attained. And in fact, what will most likely happen is that in the pursuit of my dreams and my goals, in the wake of my actions, my life will become more full instead of more empty. Abandonment is an illusion if the seeds of fulfillment and unconditional love are sown.

It is in finding a center, knowing myself, that I can take leaps of faith. Knowing that nothing of the physical world, even my mortal death could take that center away from me. The eternal in each of us cannot be destroyed. My center, my soul, my spirit will always be there. To be in constant contact with that source is to not only know myself, but to know the Divine - it is that knowing, that energy that allows every leap of faith, idea, thought and desire to be manifested in my life if I so choose it to be.

It is that center that gives me the visions of the abundance and balance I seek, and it is that center that communicates with the source of the whole in order to give me guidance of what actions I should take in order to fulfill my birth right of abundance and balance.

This goes for all of us. This is our birthright, our duty to fulfill. I am a mere channel for this understanding. The 'I' that I refer to in this epistle is the I of the Eye, from which nothing hides and resides in us all.And for me, this humble little speck in a vast Universe of mystery, this realization is the greatest Gift of all.

Love,
Yourself

The Daily Love : November 5th, 2008 - YES WE DID!

Please forgive me; I really try to stay out of politics and keep The Daily Love as unified as possible. But I am so moved by what has happened last night that I would be betraying my very soul if I did not write the following letter and share it with you. We have witnessed history on an epic scale that will change the world as we know it. This is an incredible moment to be alive. When I was at Obama HQ at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Beverly Hills last night I witnessed so many people, perfect strangers, come together, take action and unite for something I thought everyone had forgotten about. For the first time in my life, I didn't feel so alone. Standing in this crowd, for the first time I felt truly proud to be an American. I knew I'd wake up the next day to a world full of new possibilities and that what was once only a distant dream is now a concrete reality. I've been so moved by the energy of the results of this election that I cannot silence my enthusiasm.

Yes We Did!

Today is an amazing day in history and a great day in America. It's not about Republican or Democrat; this is about a psychic shift that has happened in our country. This is not about race or creed; it's about the fundamental choice - of choosing Hope over Fear. We have witnessed a historic event, something we will be talking about for the rest of our days, and when we speak to our children and grandchildren, we can tell them, "We were there..."

We were there the day we proved that the American dream is alive and well. We were there when we stood up to the status quo and took back our country from those who promote the division of "us" and "them" and ran on a platform of fear and empty promises. We were there when the first African American was elected President of the United States of America. We were there when the phrase "Yes we can" transformed into "Yes we did".

This election is a macro example of what has been happening on a micro level in each of our lives for a long time now. We made this happen. What happened last night represents a fundamental psychic shift in America that will have a massive effect in all aspects of our experience. Things that were before impossible are now possible. Tremendous change is coming. We want to feel good, we want to believe that the good guys do win, we want to come together as one people celebrating all of our diversity, we want to believe that anything that we set our minds to is possible and that we as a people do have the power to change our life by conscious choice and action.

That's what it's about, action. To create change, we must take action. Are there things in your life that you are fed up with, things you wish you could change but think you can't? Yes you can! Stand up, ride this wave of energy and make the impossible possible in your life. Take steps with hope in your heart, faith in your mind and love in your soul. Intention + action = results.

Anything is possible. Once you believe it, then you will see it. The time is now. Let's get to work.

What a moment to be alive.

In Spirit,

Mastin Kipp

The Edge

The edge, it's so scary
The edge is certain death
The edge is inevitable
When all else falls away
The edge is what's left

So go to the edge
The brink of disaster
Step a little closer now
Poor child, what's the matter?

The edge is your friend
But a foe in disguise
It's at the edge's end
Where you'll finally come alive

The edge is getting closer now
The edge it is neigh
The edge is before me
I'm pretty sure I'm gunna die
The edge it's here now
Right before my very eyes
And right before certain death
I've learned how to fly!
