Freedom is the natural state of our Universe. And, paradoxically, everything happening around us is happening in accordance with the natural Laws of the Universe. A bird flies by combining the law of Gravity, the law of Lift and the Law of Intention. A seed grows by combining the law of Germination with the unique potential of the seed.

In between our natural state of freedom and actually being free is the great champion or destroyer of destiny: choice.

Like the bird that takes flight, or the seed that grows into it’s highest potential we have the power of choice to abide by the natural Laws of the Universe (and set our selves free to embrace our highest potential), or do buy into the weakening false beliefs of fear and scarcity.

We come into this world knowing that life is a joyful, abundant, loving and kind experience. But what we learn through the life experience of others is that this is not the case.

Many, many who have come because us have experienced the lie of fear, bought into fear thoughts and as a result manifested a life of fear (which is the opposite of joy).

It’s commonly known across all wisdom teachings that thought precedes form. We have also been given the gift of intuition or “knowing” what our assignment here at Earth School is. But because we, as a race, have let the low vibrational thoughts of fear dominate our worldwide culture, many of us turn away from our true nature and our soul’s calling.

Freedom comes when we understand and combine the Law of Thought (thought precedes form), the Law of Intuition (your higher power speaks to you through intuition) and the Law of Intention (the organizing power of your thoughts) and the Law of Faith (that faith can move mountains) to germinate our highest potential.

It is ironic that to be free, we must submit our personal will to the will of the Universe that speaks to use through intuition. But this is the way of things, everything from the mystical unseen dimension operates in paradox.

Webster’s says being free means you are “not determined by anything beyond [your] own nature or being”. Your nature is love, your nature is creativity, your nature is one of acceptance and compassion, your true nature is larger than your ego. Your being is timeless, eternal and a genius.

To be free, you must not buy into anything other that your own nature or being, and then allow the Laws of the Universe to generate and organize everything that is in your best interest and destroy everything that is not.

True freedom comes from within and is a choice to buy into who you really are. Nobody can give you this freedom but you and nobody can take away this freedom but you. The choice is yours. Choose, but choose wisely, it’s all up to you.

You'll Realize

What's come before is nothing but a dream now
What's ahead is a journey indeed
Today, this moment
Is all there is
And it's giving you what you believe

Just because what happened
Doesn't mean it always will
If you keep an open mind
And have faith of the Universal kind
You'll be in for quite a thrill

To think you are your thoughts
Of the past that's in the dust
Is the greatest blockade
To a living a dream self-made
So let go and just trust

Cuz there's so much more out there
Waiting for you
Than you think there really is
So when you're just being you
You'll know exactly what to do
And realize you always did

Independence Day

Ah, July 4th. Midsummer is here, the BBQ is out, work is put on hold, fireworks are about to light up the sky and we are surrounded by friends and family. Life is good.

While we celebrate Independence Day today, I want to present a slightly different view on today. I was listening to some audio CD's by one of my favorite teachers, David Richo, about "How Relationships Work". He was talking about boundaries in relationships and said that if you think setting boundaries in relationships is selfish; remember it's no different than what our forefathers did on July 4th, 1776.

David's words really got me thinking and at the perfect time to.

I don't know about you, but this year's Summer Solstice has been particularly powerful and has brought about immense change in my life in the flash of an eye. And in the midst of this storm I'm reminded that all change is for my highest good, and when everything changes at once the hand of a power greater than me is responsible for the timing. Many people I know have been forced to recognize and address old habits, relationships and ways of living over the past few weeks that do not serve them anymore. Many dormant shadows have shown their presence so that the light of our awareness can rid them from our lives once and for all.

Now what does this have to do with July 4th you ask? Well I want to suggest, with the help of Mr. Richo, that after we have celebrated the boundaries and Independence of this great nation that we take a moment to make today our personal Independence Day as well.

Let today be the day that you declare to yourself that you have inalienable rights and have the courage to stand up to those in your life who convince you otherwise. If any of your relationships do not promote your right to "Life, liberty and the pursuit of Happiness", do what we did in 1776 and draw a boundary. And like the Preamble says, if any relationship becomes destructive, it is your right to abolish it and create new relationships that promote Safety and Happiness.

A single act of defiance in the face of oppression created a whole new country full of new found possibility and freedom. And so it is with you, if you are feeling the need for your own Declaration of Independence, have the courage to stand up for what you need. Who knows what kind of new life and possibilities are out there just waiting for you to claim your right and acknowledge that you deserve a better life? What would of happened if our forefathers hadn't taken a stand? Where would that of left us?

If you are not in the flow of your happiness, then abundance, freedom, creativity, joy and love cannot be yours. And if you are not in alignment with belief that what you desire for yourself you also desire for others, then these gifts will also evade you.

All beings are created equal and deserve happiness. Claim your right to happiness and let go of trying to control the will others. Give them the space to find what they need and give yourself the room to do the same.

As they say in the program, "first things rights, live and let live, share your happiness, easy does it".

The examples of how to do this are all around you. It's up to you to claim your own happiness and release others to find this gift for themselves.

All my love,
