Self Reliance isn't Mainstream... yet.

We are all born with a special creative gift to give to this world. This is not taught to you by mainstream belief systems because we still mostly operate from Tribal Consciousness.

We have been conditioned to believe in scarcity because over the course of human history we have constantly battled for the control of resources. This impulse comes from the fear of believing that there is not enough to go around and that "we" are separate from "them". This way of thinking is what is responsible for the current "recession", which is only our collective perception of lack.

The truth is that there is no lack, we only lack confidence to believe in abundance because we are afraid there is not enough to go around because that is what we are being told. So we buy into it, thus perpetuating the problem.

What hasn't broken through into mainstream belief just yet is that there is more than enough to go around and that the perfection of human evolution is personal creative freedom for everyone. So on the path to this space, everything that does not support the creative spirit is falling away. Your job is to remember and act upon your creative impulses.

Whether you know it or not your Spirit and the Universe wants you to be free from the chains that bind you. You will never find this in a day job, relationship, drugs, alcohol, religion or spiritual practice. All of those things can point you towards your happiness, but true happiness comes from the creative expression of your Spirit.

You have to have courage to be able to trust what you know to be true because it's not popular or safe to be self reliant."

Earth Day

Today we celebrate Earth Day. As we continue to head closer to Unity consciousness we will all become more aware and active towards helping to preserve our environment, and this is good. But the best way for us to save the planet is to save ourselves. Each one of us is a microcosm of the macro Earth and represents our own planet if you will.

Just as the whole of our body is made up of 75-100 trillion cells, so to is the Earth made up of 6.77 billion human beings. The health of each cell either adds or detracts to the overall health of your body. If enough cells grow sick the body will grow sick as well. The same can be said for us and the Earth. Since we have been given the powers of thought, intuition and conscious choice we are the caretakers of this Planet we all share.

Your job is to be as happy and healthy as you can be - your happiness will rub off on others helping them to find happiness thus creating a ripple effect and making our world happier and healthier than it was before. Yes, it's important to take steps to Save the Planet, but the reality is the Planet doesn't need saving. It was here long before we were and it will be here long after us if we mess it all up. What we are truly doing today on this Earth Day is saving ourselves and that great challenge begins in your life in the everyday choices you make to either choose love or fear.

If you want to Save the Planet choose love.

Rebirth

Hello and Happy Easter!

I felt compelled to write a little note to you today on this day. This time of year has great symbolism for many different cultures. The constant theme for this time of year is rebirth.

Three Events:
It's said that Jewish Passover usually begins the first full moon after the spring equinox (it was a full moon Thursday April 9th) and that the Christian Holiday of Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox.

It's very interesting to note that the Spring Equinox, Passover, Easter and the first Full Moon of Spring are so closely related.

The symbolism of all thee dates corresponding around the same time is not a mistake. The same theme runs through each event: re-birth.

Spring Equinox:
The Spring Equinox marks the beginning of Spring, where in the Northern Hemisphere we come out of the darkness of winter and once again embrace Spring's promise of new life, new harvest and prosperity. In the spring our land is ripe for seed, animals awaken from hibernation and slumber and the plant life begins to blossom again. The environment comes back to life, it is reborn.

Easter:
Easter is the day Jesus Christ rose from the dead and was re-born only three days after his crucifixion on Good Friday. Christians believe that Christ died to wipe clean all the sins of the world and by Christ conquering death those who believe in Him will be forgiven of all sins and find salvation and eternal life through Him. In short, through Christ's death and re-birth we have been given the promise of new and everlasting life.

Passover:
In the Jewish tradition, Passover is a Holy Day that celebrates the Jews escape as slaves of Egypt. God inflicted 10 plagues on the Pharaoh in order to free the Jews, the 10th plague being that of killing every first born son. The Jews were instructed to mark their doors with the blood of a spring lamb and upon seeing this the Spirit of the Lord "passed over" these houses, saving their first born son. The first born of the Pharaoh was killed, and this caused him so much grief that he freed the Jews. So in this way, the Jewish Holiday of Passover celebrates God freeing the Jews from the bondage or death of slavery to be reborn as a free people.

My Thoughts:
No matter what walk of life you come from this is a great time of year to allow yourself to be reborn. We are not what's happened to us. The past is over and done with. The Promise of Spring, the resurrection of Christ and the liberation of the Jews all show us that we can move from darkness to light, from bondage to freedom and from fear to love.

In a sense, many things have died over the past year. We have a new President, probably less money than we had this time last year, maybe we don't have the same job. All the things that have fallen away from our lives have left much room for new life. Maybe you ended a longtime relationship because you new it didn't serve you anymore. We've been given the power to free ourselves.

Let's take this time to see how we can be reborn. So many times we are so sad mourning what we've lost that we can't see the miracles and opportunities that are always at our finger tips. Let us not be slaves to outdated bad habits, or stay in hibernation because we're afraid to face the world outside the cave of our current understanding. Let's go out into the world, get messy, make mistakes and learn that our fears can die and be reborn as love, understanding and courage.

What a miracle, you are alive today on this day where The Promise of Spring, rebirth and new found freedom can be yours.

The choice is yours to make.

With great love,

Mastin

What if tomorrow never comes?

"What if tomorrow never comes? Have you lived the courageous life you've always been inspired to live? Have you taken risks, fallen down, stood back up, tried again and again and again until you finally got it right? Did you give it your all so when you look back you have zero regrets and lots of scars? Can you honestly look at yourself in the mirror and see respect staring back at you? Have you felt fear and done it anyway?

What if tomorrow never comes? Could you honestly say you lived your life to the fullest? Could you say with a hearty "YES!" that you never ran away from love? Would you be able to say that you let the most important people in your life know how much they mean to you and that they aren't taken for granted? Would you change anything in the past or are you proud of the path you've taken?

What is tomorrow never comes? Have you been able to embrace life's messiness and realize it'll never be perfectly perfect? Did you have the courage to stand up for what you believe in not minding the consequences, no matter what?

What if tomorrow never comes? Would you have died with your music still in you? Would that precious gift that is only yours to give to this world die with you? Or would you and your gift live on eternally in the hearts of those it touched?

What's true for you and me is that one day tomorrow will never come, what if it's tomorrow?"

Love,

Me

Love

Love allows
Love obeys
Love forgives
Love stays

Love endures
Love see's through
All your fears
To the real you

Love stands true
Love stays firm
Love's forever
It's cheek it turns

Love holds no grudge's
Love fights no wars
Love has no boundries
Love is what you're looking for

Love's not a game
But a patience hand
Love begins
Where division ends

Love has no future
It has no past
Love's forever
And wears no mask

Love faces your fears
Love stays the course
Love doesn't run away
Or rules by force

Love allows
Love observes
Love casts no judgement
And never has the last word

Love is flowing
And eternal still
Love says yes!
To no's cold chill

Love does nothing
But leaves nothing undone
When your fear fades away
Love is what you'll become

So let love in
In all it's disguises
You never know what pleasures lay
In all of love's surprises!

Love has no ego
No point to prove
And the best part about love
Is that it's always within yourself
So, love, you can never lose
